During early May’s ICBA Capital Summit, U.S. House Agriculture Chairman G.T. Thompson hosted a delegation of community bankers from Pennsylvania and across the nation to discuss prospects for an on-time passage of a Farm Bill and ACRE legislation to help promote farm lending. Agriculture is America’s number-one industry. Pennsylvania is home to nearly 60,000 farm families. About 80 percent of Ag lending involves a community bank.
