Pennsylvania’s Community Banks are keeping the lights on in hometowns across the Commonwealth. In our ongoing documentary series, we share stories about how community banks serve their communities and help to ensure their hometowns not only survive, but thrive.

Part 1 of PACB’s “Keeping the Lights On” series visits Coatesville Savings Bank in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. When the local steel mill closed their doors, most of the town’s banks also closed and left town. However, Coatesville Savings Bank stayed, and they are the only bank left in town. Their commitment to their hometown is the definition of community banking.
