An essential part of building your brand is to create your unique voice that will stand out in the crowd and be heard above the noise; above the buzzwords of your competitors. This requires you to think about how you want your potential clients to perceive and experience your brand, what words and phrases are best suited for the message you want to communicate, and how to use these words consistently throughout your interactions with clients and prospects.
What are YOU known for? What makes YOU memorable? Why would people keep YOU top of mind?
When it comes to your brand and how that is an indispensable element in your sales success, you should think about how it will be portrayed differently. First and foremost, you want to ensure that your language is clear, concise and effective at getting your message across. Secondly, consider how you want people to feel when they interact with your brand, and make sure that the words you use are geared toward making them feel comfortable, secure and excited about working with you. Next, you’ll need to be present in all your interactions, or that will quickly and irretrievably erode your brand. Turn the camera on, be early, or go into the office and experience people more meaningfully. WFH does not help your brand. Trust me, no matter what the PHDs and other so-called experts say. Out of sight IS out of mind.
Lastly, consider how you want to come across in all of your conversations. Make sure that whatever words or phrases you choose to represent your brand are authentic and genuine so that people can easily recognize and relate to your message. This will help you establish an emotional connection with your customers and make them more likely to invest their time and money into working with you.
“Every conversation is a selling moment,” reinforcing or hurting your brand.
With thoughtful consideration, you can create a unique and engaging identity that will get people talking and, more importantly, ready to invest in your services. Put some time and thought into finding the perfect words to represent you and watch your business grow exponentially!
PROTIP: Ask people who know you how they see you. It will be an incredible conversational eye-opener.
Once you have established your brand voice, please ensure it remains consistent across all your communication channels. This will help you maintain a professional and reliable image that will leave a lasting impression on potential customers and clients.
Forget the buzz words! In YOUR words, What do YOU want to be known for? Why should I call you?
By following these simple steps, you are well on your way to creating an unforgettable personal brand voice that will set you apart from the competition! Good luck!
